i can't believe i'm finally going on a date with yoongi hyung. i've been waiting for this day for a long time, so i want to make sure it's perfect. i'm going to sweep hyung off of his feet!

picnic time!
yoongi and jungkook make their way to han river on their bikes with holly sitting warm in his little carrier. jungkook (with the help of seokjin, thank you very much) prepared a whole feast for the three of them–kimbap, homemade mini corndogs, rice balls, rolled omelette, a bottle of wine, and heart shaped melon bits for holly. the air is cold, but their bellies are full and hearts are warm.
once the sun goes down, jungkook notices yoongi staring at him a little oddly.
"it's cold. my hands... are cold..." yoongi whispers shyly.
what should jungkook do?
movie time!
jungkook had it all planned out. he told his roomates he needed the apartment empty for the day. he washed his softest blankets and sprayed them with yoongi's favorite scent. he borrowed his cousin's projector so that they didn't have to watch the movie on a tiny laptop screen (the tv is broken due to an intense game of wii bowling between his roommates). he even bought the caramel popcorn yoongi loves so much.
the one thing jungkook forgot to plan was the movie. all he has on his laptop was an obscure indie film in another language and an old horror film.
which movie should jungkook put on?
you chose hot pack!
"hold these, then." jungkook hands yoongi a hot pack.
yoongi thanks him and takes the hot pack, but he also takes jungkook's hands and doesn't let go.
"oh," jungkook whispers. the tips of his ears go warm.
"this okay?" yoongi asks, cheeks also warm. "i can let go if you want."
"literally never let go again. we will hold hands until we die," jungkook says in a rush.
yoongi laughs and asks, "what if we get carpal tunnel?"
"it's worth it as long as i am holding your hand." jungkook winks exaggeratedly.
you chose holly!
yoongi squints at jungkook as he hands holly over. still, the elder gladly takes holly. jungkook thinks he hears yoongi say, "i can always trust my holly to keep me warm, can't i?" in the baby voice he reserves just for his puppy.
later, when yoongi goes home...
you chose indie film!
jungkook is bored out of his mind. he gets through about 20 minutes of the film before giving in and looking at yoongi, and jungkook is surprised to see him already looking back.
"you're staring." jungkook blushes.
"you know, your eyes get really big when you zone out," yoongi pauses, "it's cute."
"how do you know i was zoning out? maybe i was just really into the film." jungkook crosses his arms, challenging him.
"tell me what it's about then, quickly." the elder raises an eyebrow.
"it's about this boy who goes on a date with this other boy. he really likes the other boy, and wants to go on another date with him. do you think the other boy likes him too?" jungkook says as he plays with his hoodie strings.
yoongi chuckles and says, "i think the other boy is absolutely smitten."
You Chose horror film!
yoongi definitely does not like horror movies. he's spent the whole movie with his eyes closed, and on a particularly scary scene, he somehow ends up cuddling up to jungkook and burying his face in his neck. jungkook would be apologetic, but his hyung's tiny, adorable yelps are nothing to be sorry about. the cuddles certainly aren't a bad thing either.
yoongi is still tucked into jungkook's side when the movie finally ends.
"hyung? it's over," jungkook hums, rubbing his back.
"are you sure?" yoongi peers at him through his fingers, "next time we are watching marvel movies instead."
"next time?" jungkook can't hide the relief in his voice.
"yeah, next time." yoongi cuddles closer.
